Aims
The Graduate Certificate in Water Resources Management is designed to provide students with an opportunity to increase their breadth and depth of knowledge and application of skills in water resources management. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Water Resources Management, students may articulate to the Graduate Diploma in Water Resources Management at the discretion of the Program Director.
Content & Structure
ICE WaRM's five university partners are involved in the delivery of this programme, providing students with the opportunity to specialise in their area of water interest.
The Graduate Certificate in Water Resources Management requires the completion of four core courses or equivalent* (equivalent to one semester of full-time study), and can be taken in part-time or full-time mode.
*Full-time students also have the option to select 2 core courses and 2 coursework electives with the approval of the Program Director.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must fulfill the following requirements for entry into the Graduate Certificate in Water Resources Management:- 3 year undergraduate degree in a recommended field* (Australian or equivalent) with relevant experience.**
- Extensive experience in the water industry.
*Engineering and Science are considered recommended fields.
** Relevant experience will need to be demonstrated to an appropriate level and will be assessed at the discretion of the Program Director.
Professionals with extensive experience working in the water industry who do not meet the academic entry requirements for the Masters or Graduate Diploma may be eligible for entry to the Graduate Certificate in Water Resources Management. Note that applicants in this category need to be assessed on a case-by-case basis and entry is not guaranteed.
It is assumed that all applicants will have a demonstrated background in mathematics (i.e. at least equivalent to Year 12 mathematics).
English Language Requirements
International students who speak English as a foreign language must have obtained one of the following standards within the last two years prior to admission:- International English LanguageTesting System (IELTS): test - band 6.5 with a score no less then six for sub tests; www.ielts.org, OR
- Previous successful secondary or tertiary study where English was the language of instruction.
