Short Courses

About Short Courses

The ICE WaRM Short Courses Programme successfully provides education and training in water related topics. The courses are designed to provide participants with an understanding and knowledge to help them perform their job more effectively, gain better job opportunities and develop as a professional in the water industry. If your organisation needs training for its staff, ICE WaRM will also offer training that raises both personal and organisational capacity and is aimed at long-term development.

Throughout 2009, ICE WaRM provided education and training through its Short Courses Programme to individuals and groups from a broad range of organisations. Participants in the programme came from a variety of sectors including:
  • Engineering
  • Scientific research and consulting companies
  • Private water organisations
  • Local Councils
  • Health organisations
ICE WaRM also provided in-house short courses at the request of organisations and has recently developed a new short course on Policy and Governance for a Professional Development Programme (PDP) organised for a group of visiting water officials and leaders from the Mekong River Delta, China. ICE WaRM will continue to provide in-house courses in 2010, including a course in Perth for local water industry professionals.
