Welcome to the National Centre for Groundwater Research and Training (NCGRT) Industry Training Programme
The Groundwater Industry Training programme is facilitated by the International Centre of Excellence in Water Resources Management (ICE WaRM). The courses and study tours, now delivered by the National
Centre for Groundwater Research and Training (formerly by the Centre for Groundwater Studies), follow a tradition in Australia of industry‐led teaching, with established professionals giving the benefit of their
experience to tomorrow’s leaders.
The courses and study tours aim to increase understanding of groundwater processes including recharge, discharge, contamination, remediation and management. The specialist courses in particular provide mechanisms for showcasing new science and technology, spanning a wide spectrum of issues and professions. This helps develop a wider understanding of groundwater’s central role as a key natural resource.
