If you are new to the water industry, a current employee or are working close to the industry and need to know about it as a whole, consider taking this course which is offered in conjunction with the Australian Water association (AWA – 10% discount for members). Adaptable for a one or two day format and covering a comprehensive range of topics supported by exercises and activities, the AWIE covers water management in Australia with each course offering details relevant to each state. Guest speakers are also invited to speak on their area of expertise in the water industry.

Dr Paul Dalby(Director In Fusion Consulting)
Paul Dalby is a leading innovator in connecting science, policy and community together to drive innovation in improved management of water, natural resources and agriculture. He is an experienced practitioner and presenter and currently the Living Laboratories Manager where he is working with multiple research organisations, State agencies and industry to develop collaborative research opportunities. Paul is also a Director on the Board of a number of companies, all of which profit from improving the environment.

Dr Anne Jensen is an environmental consultant with extensive experience in natural resources management particularly relating to water issues and the environment. She is a visiting Scientist to the new Water Research Centre at the University of Adelaide. Previously Anne was CEO of WetlandCare Australia, a not-for-profit conservation company which has coordinated multiple wetland projects in South Australia, New South Wales and Queensland. She has strong international networks in wetland and natural resource management through involvement with Ramsar, UNESCO, Ducks Unlimited, and government agencies in the UK, USA, Canada and Denmark.
Dr Gary Bickford

Dr. Gary Bickford is an expert water professional whose skills span across planning, project management and strategy. During his time as Director for Water Security-Major Projects for ACTEW Corporation he has had direct experience with water management in the ACT and surrounding regions. Previously Gary has held several other positions including Principal Strategic Planner for ACTEW, Managing Director for Ecowise Environmental, Director of the Rivers Program with the Murray-Darling Basin Commission and Manager for Strategy and Innovation and Quality Planning Manager for the Sydney Water Corporation. He currently is the principal consultant for Nestis Consulting.
Paul Harvey
(Director, Leda Consulting)
Paul Harvey most recently was the Program Manager, Murray-Darling Initiative in the Department of Water, Land and Biodiversity, South Australia and has acted extensively as a private consultant to State Government agencies and Natural Resource Management Boards. His specialist areas are in the development and implementation of policies and strategies for groundwater and surface water management, the sharing and allocation of resources and for environmental protection. Paul has extensive involvement in major water resources and natural resources management programs such as the Murray-Darling Basin Initiative, the Mount Lofty Ranges Catchment Program (as Program Leader) and the South East Groundwater Quality Management Program. He is currently the Director for Leda Consulting.
