Policy and Governance
This course offers an overview of key issues in Australian water policy and governance, with potential application to any river basin. It is relevant to anyone working with water issues and natural resource management, providing an up-to-date summary of water management issues.
The course content illustrates how sustainable water management issues are included in contemporary policy and governance decision-making processes. The difficulties in achieving a balance between a range of competing and conflicting issues are explored. If you are involved in water policy or on-ground water management, in the public, community or private sectors, this course would be very helpful. It will provide an overview of current water policy and governance issues. A regionally-relevant guest speaker is invited to speak on a case study and policy in action at each course.
