Mr. Mike Terlet, Chairman |

Mr Mike Terlet is Chairman for the International Centre of Excellence in Water Resources Management (ICE WaRM) Board of Directors. Mr Terlet earned his stripes leading the formation and growth of Australia’s largest private sector Defence and Aerospace Company, AWA Defence Industries, from 1978 to 1992. In 1991, he was recognised and made an officer of the General Order of Australia for contributions to industry and export. He has since undertaken a number of directorships in both private and public companies and has served as President of the South Australian Employers Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Engineering Employers Association. The current chairman for Australia’s largest privately owned water company, United Water International, and the Water Industry Alliance, Mr. Terlet is dedicated to collaboration within the local water industry. He brings a wealth of experience to the organisation. |

Dr. Jane Gilmour, Deputy Chairman OAM |

Dr Jane Gilmour is Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors. Dr Gilmour was Executive Director of Earthwatch Institute – Australia from 1992 - 2005. She is currently Deputy-Chancellor of RMIT University, Trustee of The William Buckland Foundation, and member of Parks Victoria’s Environment Advisory Committee and the Editorial Advisory Board for G-Magazine. She is also a Research Associate at the Australian Centre of Excellence for Risk Analysis. Previous appointments include being a Director of Parks Victoria and member of South East Water’s Environment Advisory Committee. In recognition for her services to the environment, Dr Gilmour received the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2003. |

Dr. Don Blackmore, Director |

Dr Blackmore's experience in water and natural resources management spans 36 years. He was the Chief Executive of the Murray Darling Basin Commission for 15 years until he retired in March 2004. He was Deputy Chair of Land and Water Australia for 9 years during the 1990s and has worked with a range of research funding and provider groups over the years. He was a Commissioner on the World Commission on Dams, an independent group established by over 50 international agencies and companies to review the development effectiveness of large dams for which a report was presented to the international community represented by Nelson Mandela. In 2004, he was made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for his service to the environment. Dr Blackmore has provided advice to the World Bank regarding the management of large river basins and has recently worked on the Eastern Nile, Indus, Mekong and Brahamaputra Rivers. He currently chairs both the CRC for EWater and the Advisory Council for the CSIRO Flagship Program 'Water for a Healthy Country' and sits on a number of other boards. |

Ms. Kaye Schofield, Director |

Kaye Schofield is an independent researcher and analyst in the field of adult and vocational education. Since 1994, she has led and managed many influential studies at national, and State levels and has undertaken a range of international assignments, most recently in the Pacific. Before establishing her firm in 1994, she was the CEO of the South Australian Department of Labour, Public Works, and Administrative Services and, before that, the CEO of the South Australian Department of Employment and TAFE. Ms. Schofield is an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Technology Sydney and served as Executive Director of the National Research Centre for Vocational Education and Training at UTS (1999-2002). Ms Schofield currently chairs the NSW Board of Adult and Community Education and is a member of the NSW TAFE Board. |

Prof. Robin King, Director |

Professor King was Pro Vice Chancellor from the Division of Information Technology, Engineering and the Environment at the University of South Australia (UniSA) until his retirement earlier in 2007, having joined UniSA as Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology in 1997.
He held previous academic positions with the University of Sydney, the University of New South Wales, Southampton University in the United Kingdom and the University of Technology in Papua New Guinea. In 1994 he was a Visiting Academic in the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge, UK. |
