Mekong Subregion PDP in Water Resources Management

Fellows gained knowledge and technical skills in groundwater science and modelling, river surveying and modelling, GIS for environmental management and water resource planning and management in an integrated context. The programme was designed to strengthen research, policy and education programmes in water resources management in the region and better equip decision makers with the knowledge and skills to improve in this area, through theoretical learning and site visits to Australian research institutions and water authorities, as well as facilitating collaboration within the Mekong river region (addressing Goal 2 of the MRC Strategic Plan 2006-2010, to enhance effective regional cooperation) and with Australia.
