Online Course: Sediment Transport Modelling

In these courses we’ll look at the sediment transport modelling software options, along with requirements for the collection of input data, selection of modelling parameters, and calibration techniques. We’ll also discuss the tradeoffs between qualitative geomorphological assessments and quantitative numerical modelling. There will be case studies and hands-on exercises addressing a range of sediment transport modelling topics outlined in the Details section below.

After this training you will have a good understanding of the following:
1. Typical applications of sediment transport models.
2. Input data required to perform sediment transport modeling.
3. HEC-RAS model capabilities and limitations.

    – Thursday, 31 October, 10:30am (Sydney Time)
