Goyder Institute and ICE WaRM welcome Kathryn Nicholas

The Goyder Institute for Water Research and the International Centre of Excellence in Water and Resources Management (ICE WaRM) are pleased to welcome Kathryn Nicholas as the new PR and Communications Manager. Kathryn will focus on promoting ICE WaRM and Goyder Institute’s activities and be responsible for developing communication products that build and support each organisation’s overall objectives.

Kathryn brings with her 10 years of experience working in high-pressure media environments overseeing magazines and news websites across a range of industries – IT, government, real estate, education, mining and water – with expertise in editing and publishing, social media and stakeholder relations.

“We are very excited to welcome Kathryn to our team,” Dr Michele Akeroyd, Goyder Institute for Water Research Director, said. “Not only will she bring a tighter focus on Goyder Institute’s external communications and events, but also be working closely with both organisations to assist in developing PR opportunities and collaboration with key stakeholders.”

Kathryn joins ICEWaRM from the Australian Bureau of Statistics and has also worked for Prime Creative Media, Intermedia, Mining Media International and IDG Communications. She holds a Bachelor of Media from the University of Adelaide and a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Technology, Sydney.
