Graduate Student Mobility Project: EU-AU

Saturday, 28 November, 2009

ICE WaRM is pleased to announce a new graduate student mobility project, funded through the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations. This project provides a mechanism to share best practice between Australian and the European Union (EU) universities, and to improve global understanding of the importance of sustainable water resources management.

Long-term outcomes arising from this project could include joint Masters and/or PhD programmes, and joint Training and Professional Development Programmes between the participating universities in the EU and Australia, as well as joint research programmes.

Studying overseas is an excellent way to experience different cultures and international perspectives, meet new people, as well as enhancing study in areas that may not be available in the home institution. It is also an asset on job applications after graduation.

The new student exchange agreement will commence early in 2009 and includes the following EU partner universities:

  • University of Dundee, Scotland, UK
  • Technical University of Delft, The Netherlands
  • Technical University of Dresden, Germany
