Sunshine Coast Uni Becomes New Providing Partner

USCThe University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) in Queensland will be teaching new courses into the ICE WaRM multi award winning Master of Water Resources Management programme from the start of 2011.

USC has prepared materials and will deliver a new course on Climate Change, titled Developing Climate Change Adaptation Strategies in Water Management, as well as an additional subject in the Water Planning stream – Water Allocation and Planning.The courses will be available through distance education.

USC is the third university to become a providing partner with ICE WaRM, along with the Australian National University and Charles Sturt University.

They join the founding partners – the University of South Australia, the University of Adelaide, Flinders University, Deakin University in Victoria and CQ University in Queensland – in delivering the Masters programme, continuing to increase its scope and versatility.

USC is located at Sippy Downs, about 100 kilometres north of Brisbane, and is Australia’s newest and fastest-growing public university. It was founded in 1994 and enrolled its first 500 students in 1996. USC now has more than 7500 students and over the next 10 years the campus population is planned to grow to 15,000.
