Webinars making a splash in the water sector

Thursday, 8 November, 2018

Last week ICE WaRM celebrated a new milestone by casting our 50th webinar since the programme initiated in June 2016.

Aiming to share knowledge and expertise across the water sector locally and internationally, ICE WaRM began a free webinar programme which now covers a wide range of topics such as Groundwater Management, Sustainable Development Goals, Water Modelling, Water Efficiency and Research.

Through the Australian Water School, ICE WaRM has seen over 5,800 registrations across 94 countries join our webinars which have progressed to almost one per week. This has kept the team busy continually working to improve the quality and delivery experience with the introduction of new technology, live Q & A and interactive discussion.

Drawing on his personable and professional approach, ICE WaRM’s National Partnerships Manager, Trevor Pillar has kept audiences engaged in conversation as lead webinar chair since day one.

“Going to work each day thinking about the brilliant ideas and projects emanating from the global water sector has been one of the highlights of my working life!” says Pillar.

“It has been an honour and great privilege to be part of the first 50 Australian Water School Webinars over the past 2 years. The innovation flowing from the international water sector has been nothing less than astounding.”

Our Webinars have provided an opportunity to showcase the thought-leaders and innovators of the water sector and give them maximum exposure globally.

“I am highly motivated when we unearth and profile the creative energy driving water professionals, as they constantly find better ways to manage this crucial resource for humanity. I am really looking forward to the year ahead.”

By end of this year the Australian Water School will have provided almost 60 free webinars in 130 weeks and we are well into planning an exciting schedule for 2019.
